Marqueyssac

The present structure of the castle dates from the end of the 18C.

The Château de Marqueyssac, simple and harmonious in style, has a superb stone roof built from the lauze stone which is typical of the region. The roof weighs more than five hundred tons.

The castle gardens are among the most beautiful and well-planned in France. They were restored in 1996 and are now open to the public.
